Dry DIY Laundry Soap for Twenty Dollars a Year.

Image Make a dry version of laundry soap that will last you a whole year for only twenty dollars.Use only two tablespoons per load of laundry.Grate your 3 bars of of fels naptha soap,1 box of borax,1box of washing soda,2 cups of baking soda, and two containers of oxi-clean.I just buy that at the dollar store. Then double up two garbage bags ,and put all the ingredients into the garbage bag. Tie it shut and shake the bag all around to mix it.Then put it into a container with a lid on it for storing. You can also add into the mix 1-2 containers of fabric softener crystals for a nice scent. This will be good for the year ,if you use the two tbls,it works great on the clothes just the same as any other detergents.I am very satisfied with it.

This sounds great – thanks so much! One question – what size boxes are you using of the borax, washing soda and what size is the oxiclean? There many only be one size of borax and washing soda in Walmart, but just wanted to be sure. Not sure about Oxiclean as I just buy the lg one that’ looks like an ice cream 1/2 gallon container. I already add vinegar, bsoda, and oxiclean into my wash, but would love to save $$$ by making my own completely. Tracy in MO

Your welcome, first I use a 3 kg box of washing soda and 2 kg of borax. The oxi-clean ,I use is about 1 litre that seems to do the trick. You could experiment a little with amounts to see what works for you.I have saved so much money since I started making my own. Thanks for checking out my blog. Hope this helps.
